African Startups See Funding Slowdown as Investment Plummets

The year draws to a close, and funding for African tech startups has slowed considerably. Despite raising $162 million in November 2025, according to data from Africa the Big Deal, this figure represents a drastic decline compared to previous months. In fact, funding activity dropped by 63% from October 2025’s record-high of $442 million, a trend consistent across various funding cycles since September 2024.
