Connecticut Orders Three Platforms to Halt ‘Unlicensed’ Gambling

Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection has ordered Robinhood, Crypto.com, and Kalshi to cease offering online gambling prediction markets to residents in the state. The platforms were notified via letters Wednesday highlighting that their contracts violate Connecticut law by offering sports wagering without proper licensing. 3 platforms face accusations of misleading customers about their services’ legality as they operate outside of Connecticut’s regulatory framework.
