Ripple CEO Sees Stablecoin Recognition Rise at Binance Blockchain Week

Binance’s Blockchain Week in Dubai saw Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse address a panel discussion, offering insights into the crypto market’s future and the burgeoning role of stablecoins. Garlinghouse expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, ‘Moving forward is the only path worth considering.’ 🇦🇪 He further elaborated on his perspective during a talk with panelists including Solana Foundation President Lily Liu and Binance CEO Richard Teng, where he highlighted that stablecoins are gaining recognition due to their increased stability and ease of use. His remarks came in response to RLUSD’s momentum in the Middle East. The Ripple CEO emphasized that these stablecoin solutions are more manageable for users, particularly in regions like the UAE. 📈 RLUSD has attracted significant attention, with over $1.027 billion in market capitalization and recognition from Abu Dhabi’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and other regional bodies. This progress is further bolstered by Ripple’s partnership with Mastercard, WebBank, and Gemini to explore the integration of RLUSD into fiat card transactions via the XRPL. The session at Binance Blockchain Week also featured Reece Merrick, Ripple’s Managing Director for Middle East and Africa, who delved into how blockchain-powered payment networks are transforming global settlement processes, speed, and connectivity.
