Apple Changes AI Leadership After Missed Milestones

Apple has announced the departure of John Giannandrea, its head of artificial intelligence, after a tenure marked by challenges in advancing key projects. Amar Subramanya will replace him and lead Apple’s AI efforts. Subramanya brings expertise from Microsoft and Google’s DeepMind, and his focus will be on core AI foundations, machine learning research, and safety initiatives.
