Uzbekistan to Launch Stablecoin Framework in 2026

In a move to bolster its financial technology sector, Uzbekistan will implement a new legal framework for stablecoins as payment instruments starting January 1, 2026. This initiative, outlined by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev through a presidential decree issued on November 27th, establishes a pilot program for the development and testing of stablecoin payment systems and tokenization projects.
