CME Group Halts Trading Amid Cooling Issue at Data Center

The CME Group has halted trading on its Globex platform due to a cooling issue affecting its data center in Aurora, Illinois. The halt, which originated Thursday, impacted derivatives including cryptocurrency futures, notably Bitcoin and Ethereum. No financial losses have been disclosed, but market liquidity is expected to fluctuate as a result of the suspension.
