U.S. Treasury Announces Inflation-Protected Bond Index Value

The U.S. Treasury Department has officially unveiled the index value for inflation-protected bonds, specifically for the October 2025 timeframe. The announcement was made in a press release, revealing that this value is set at 325.604. This figure will serve as the foundation for calculating payment obligations tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for October 2025. Even if the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) releases a revised CPI number in December 2025, the Treasury Department has confirmed that it won’t change the index value.
