Naver and Dunamu Merge to Dominate South Korea’s Fintech Landscape

Naver Financial, the fintech arm of South Korea’s tech giant Naver, will merge with Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, the nation’s leading cryptocurrency exchange. This stock-swap transaction, valued at approximately $10.28 billion, is set to officially take place on June 30, 2026. The merger aims to strengthen both companies’ positions in South Korea’s rapidly evolving digital asset market.
