Nasdaq Proposes Major Increase for Bitcoin ETF Options Cap, Expanding Institutional Access

The Nasdaq has proposed significantly increasing the options cap for BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), aiming to boost institutional access to the cryptocurrency. This proposal seeks to raise the open interest cap from 250,000 to 1 million contracts. This move could pave the way for a major shift in institutional engagement with Bitcoin and its derivatives market.
