Security Vulnerability Found in Port3 Network’s Cross-Chain Token Solution

Port3 Network has alerted the public to a security vulnerability in CATERC20, a cross-chain token solution developed by NEXA Network. According to PANews, an incident report released on X outlines a flaw in boundary condition verification that affects this system. This issue arises when ownership is relinquished for the tokens, causing the function to return 0 even though it should ideally be triggering a failure of ownership check. This vulnerability could potentially allow unauthorized access and exploit vulnerabilities in the system.
