PORT3 Bridge Vulnerability Leads to Significant Price Drop

A security breach on the PORT3 bridge has resulted in a substantial price decline for the project’s native token, PORT3. According to data from ChainCatcher, a hacker exploited a vulnerability within the bridge three hours ago, creating an additional 1 billion PORT3 tokens. Following this exploit, the cryptocurrency saw a dramatic 76% price drop as the hacker sold approximately 162.75 million tokens, which generated $166,000 worth of BNB. In response to this event, the PORT3 project team took action, removing liquidity from the blockchain and some centralized exchanges have suspended deposits for the token. Notably, the hacker subsequently destroyed all remaining unsold tokens, totaling 837.25 million. #BNB
