Vitalik Buterin Advocates for Ethereum’s Stability Focus

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has emphasized the need for a more stable and secure future for the network, urging it to focus on long-term improvements rather than frequent protocol changes. Speaking at the Devconnect conference, Buterin expressed his vision for the platform to become ‘ossified,’ minimizing core modifications to prioritize stability and security while prioritizing innovation in areas like Layer 2 solutions, wallets, privacy tools, and other related ecosystems. Though he acknowledged that this shift might limit early experimentalism, he believes it will ultimately strengthen the ecosystem’s overall health. Buterin also highlighted the urgency of transitioning to quantum-resistant encryption by 2028, addressing potential vulnerabilities posed by emerging quantum technologies.
