Ethereum Should Stabilize: Buterin Advocates for Less Frequent Upgrades

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed a shift away from the network’s history of rapid experimentation, urging it to adopt a more stable and predictable approach. He advocates for stabilizing Ethereum’s base layer (layer 1) by limiting major upgrades, which he believes will significantly reduce risks and improve the network’s security as its value reaches hundreds of billions. However, he envisions innovation still thriving through alternative channels like Layer-2 rollups, wallets, and applications that enhance user experience without altering the core protocol.
