While global investments in artificial intelligence (AI) have surged, African startups are lagging significantly behind. In Q3 2025, only $14 million was raised for AI projects on the continent, representing a paltry 0.03% of the $47.8 billion secured globally. This underscores Africa’s dire need for further investment in its burgeoning AI sector.
