Despite notable progress by Ripple’s XRP cryptocurrency, investor interest remains divided within the broader crypto market. Anthony Bassili, president of Coinbase Asset Management, highlighted this trend during an interview at The Bridge conference in New York City. According to Bassili, investors haven’t yet identified a clear second-tier asset after Bitcoin and Ethereum, leading them to question the trajectory of Solana (SOL). While he acknowledges the potential of the latter, Bassili notes that ‘the market is very unsure’ regarding the next significant asset to invest in. This uncertainty extends to XRP as well, with the gap between its investor interest and Solana’s being notable, according to Bassili. He believes the fourth position is still undefined until a network or application demonstrates robust market fit.
