Asian Markets Begin With Steep Declines

Asian stock markets opened this morning with notable losses, signaling a volatile trading day. The Nikkei 225 index in Japan dropped by 666.59 points, representing a 1.30% decline. South Korea’s KOSPI also experienced significant losses, falling 114.2 points, or 2.74%. In China, the Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.56%, while the Shenzhen Component Index and ChiNext Index saw declines of 1.14% and 1.74%, respectively. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index opened with a 1.52% drop, and its Hang Seng Tech Index followed suit, falling by 2.22%.
