Phishing Attacks Cause $3.28 Million in Losses During October 2025

A recent report from Foresight News and ScamSniffer reveals a stark decline in phishing attacks during October 2025, despite the overall figures still concerning. The report estimates that these attacks resulted in losses of $3.28 million, impacting 10,935 individuals. This decline marks a positive development as the report highlights a 72% decrease in financial losses compared to September and a similar drop in the number of victims by 30%. Despite this encouraging trend, ‘permit’ signature fraud continues to be the primary method employed in phishing attacks.
