Mistrial Declared in MEV Brothers’ $25M Ethereum Fraud Case

A mistrial was declared in the case of Anton and James Peraire-Bueno, known as the ‘MEV Brothers’, who were accused of defrauding investors by exploiting Ethereum’s MEV (miner extractable value) practices for a significant $25 million sum. This legal setback, stemming from allegations of 12-second exploits on Ethereum, has thrown into question the ethical and legal boundaries surrounding MEV in blockchain trading.
