Gujarat Man Arrested for Facilitating ₹10 Crore Crypto Transfer to Pakistan

Police in Gujarat, India, have arrested a resident of Surat, Chetan Gangani, for his alleged role in facilitating a transfer of ₹10 crore from Indian accounts to a Pakistani cryptocurrency wallet. Authorities believe Gangani utilized his BitGet account to convert the funds into Tether (USDT) over four months and aided cybercriminals in laundering illegal proceeds. This arrest stems from a larger investigation into a network suspected of transferring over ₹200 crore to Dubai-based cybercriminals using nearly 100 mule accounts linked to hundreds of cybercrime cases across India.
