FTX to Pay $7.1 Billion in Creditor Repayments by 2025

FTX has announced a comprehensive repayment plan totaling $7.1 billion for creditors, set to be disbursed between now and 2025. Led by Sunil Kavuri, FTX’s creditor representative, the plan ensures timely distribution of funds with detailed breakdowns provided on Twitter. This structured approach aims to restore market confidence as the cryptocurrency exchange emerges from its bankruptcy, following accusations of financial mismanagement that led to its collapse. The initial payout schedule includes $454 million for smaller claims under $50,000, followed by larger claims worth $5 billion in May 2025. The process will continue with additional payments scheduled throughout 2025 and beyond. 2025 payouts are designed to be a significant step towards full recovery of claims and will also provide creditors interest rates on their outstanding balances.
