UNDP Launches Blockchain Initiatives to Drive Government Adoption

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is stepping into a new era for blockchain adoption, unveiling two innovative initiatives designed to support governments in utilizing this technology effectively. Robert Pasicko, head of the UNDP’s financial technology team AltFinLab, revealed these plans during a UN City event in Copenhagen, Denmark. These include a dedicated blockchain education program for government officials and the creation of a blockchain advisory body. Building upon the existing blockchain academy for UN staff, this effort focuses on practical implementation of blockchain solutions within governments.
