M-KOPA has achieved a significant milestone, hitting one million customers in Nigeria. This achievement marks the company’s fastest growth trajectory in any of its five markets worldwide. The success is attributed to M-KOPA’s growing team, which expanded from 60 employees in 2020 to over 200 full-time staff members by 2025. The company leverages a large network of 7,786 direct sales representatives (DSRs) – more than half of whom are under 35 years old – to serve its customers across the country. Notably, this growth has been fueled by M-KOPA’s ability to provide financial assistance through cash loans to over 140,000 customers, expanding access to digital financial services.
