Merrin was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in Port Kembla Local Court on December 3rd. Merrin, a former forward for teams like St. George Illawarra Dragons, Penrith Panthers, and Leeds Rhinos, retired from professional rugby in 2021 after a lengthy 15-year career. Merrin has since shifted his focus to cryptocurrency ventures, describing himself on LinkedIn as an entrepreneur and investor invested in the health and wellness sector and blockchain technology.
