Vitalik Buterin Proposes EIP to Improve Ethereum’s Efficiency

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has raised concerns about Modexp, a protocol hindering Ethereum development due to its inefficiency and complexity. Buterin warned that Modexp poses a potential threat of consensus failure within the ecosystem. He proposed introducing an Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) to replace precompiled code with equivalent EVM code. While acknowledging a potential rise in gas fees, Buterin believes this change will ultimately improve Ethereum’s efficiency and stability.
