EU to Grant ESMA Enhanced Control over Crypto Markets

A new proposal from the European Commission suggests giving the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) significant regulatory powers akin to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This proposed framework, expected by December 2025, aims to reshape how crypto and stock exchanges are regulated across the EU.
