Victims were lured into transferring significant sums of money, believing it was official action, with the funds later laundered through cryptocurrency networks like Bitcoin (BTC), USDT, and Ethereum (ETH) due to their high liquidity. This case highlights the need for heightened awareness regarding social engineering scams, especially among young gamers who are particularly susceptible to these tactics.
