Ethereum to Upgrade with Fusaka, Boosting Scalability by December 3

Ethereum has set a firm date for its upcoming major upgrade – Fusaka, scheduled for December 3rd. Following successful final testnet deployment, the move marks a significant milestone in Ethereum’s journey towards enhanced scalability and user experience. The upgrade will increase the network’s gas limit by a factor of five, boosting efficiency and throughput as well. This comes following months of meticulous testing on various testnets, including Holesky, Sepolia, and Hoodi. 30 million to 150 million units. This aims to reduce congestion and keep costs low across Layer-2 networks and decentralized applications. The upgrade will also include a dozen Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), focusing on performance, security, and scalability, signifying one of the most comprehensive updates since the Merge. 150 million units is expected to be a major change in the network’s structure as it prepares for the anticipated surge in Layer-2 activity. The Fusaka upgrade signifies Ethereum’s strategic push towards full post-Merge maturity.
