The long-awaited Fusaka upgrade for Ethereum is set to launch on December 3rd, as officially confirmed by its developers. This decision was made during the network’s biweekly coordination meeting. The Fusaka update marks a significant milestone in Ethereum’s roadmap and coincides with the anticipated second major hard fork in 2025. One of the most notable innovations introduced through this upgrade is PeerDAS, a system designed to reduce bandwidth requirements for validators. This will ultimately lead to faster transaction processing speeds and lower costs for both users and developers on the network. The update was implemented successfully on the third and final testnet, Hoodi, just two days ago. It will go live on the Ethereum mainnet at 9:49 PM on December 3rd, once the blockchain reaches slot level 13,164,544. This is not investment advice.
