China Clarifies Stablecoin Policy: No Easing in Sight

China’s central bank, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), has finally spoken out about stablecoins, asserting that existing regulations remain in effect and no changes are planned. Governor Pan Gongsheng stated during a recent financial conference that crackdowns on virtual currencies will continue, emphasizing the focus on risk monitoring and limiting illicit activities.
