GitHub has unveiled a suite of new features for its Copilot subscription service, aiming to enhance developer productivity and collaboration. The company launched ‘Agent HQ,’ a platform designed to streamline coordination between multiple agents on GitHub, VS Code, CLI, and mobile devices. This includes the integration of coding agents from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cognition, and xAI into the paid Copilot service. GitHub also introduced several updates: Mission Control for enhanced project management in VS Code; AGENTS.md for custom agent configuration; a GitHub MCP Registry for code governance; and a public preview of Code Quality for enterprises. Additionally, Copilot Pro+ users will have a chance to experiment with OpenAI Codex in the upcoming VS Code Insiders release.
