Ocean Protocol has denied accusations of token theft following its departure from the ASI Alliance. The Foundation maintains that community tokens are managed by Ocean Expeditions, an independent legal trust established in 2025. This assertion contradicts claims by Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh, who alleges Ocean illegally liquidated over $100 million worth of community tokens before exiting the partnership. Both FET and OCEAN token values have plummeted as a result of this dispute, with FET dropping by nearly 92% and OCEAN by 87% from their respective highs. 661 million OCEAN tokens were converted to 286 million FET tokens before leaving the alliance, with 270 million FET subsequently moved to centralized exchanges. Sheikh publicly challenged Ocean’s narrative, offering a $250,000 bounty for information about the OceanDAO multisig wallet signers involved in these token movements.
