Elon Musk’s space exploration company, SpaceX, has initiated two significant bitcoin transfers totaling $133.7 million (over 1,215 BTC) within the last three days, a move analysts believe is aimed at consolidating holdings. Following Tuesday’s transaction of $268.5 million, SpaceX now appears to be transitioning from legacy wallets to newer, more modern ones according to onchain data. The company reportedly holds around 6,970 BTC currently worth approximately $770 million. 2022 saw a significant shift as SpaceX sold off most of its Bitcoin holdings following the Terra-Luna crash and FTX bankruptcy. Since then, no new purchases have been reported. A similar trend has been observed with Tesla under Elon Musk’s leadership. Despite selling substantial portions of their Bitcoin portfolio, Tesla still holds approximately 11,509 BTC, valued at about $1.24 billion today. This news comes as part of a wider exploration of Bitcoin by major players in the cryptocurrency sphere, and it’s important to note that this is not investment advice.
