Bitcoin Wallet From Satoshi Era Moves $16 Million in Unexpected Transfer

A dormant Bitcoin wallet linked to an early miner from the era of Satoshi Nakamoto has unexpectedly become active, transferring a substantial amount of Bitcoin on October 24th. According to data by Lookonchain, this address holding 4,000 BTC moved approximately 150 BTC, valued at around $16.6 million, to an unknown destination. Arkham’s analysis revealed that these Bitcoin were mined in 2009 and consolidated into a single wallet by 2011. This activity coincides with the recent surge in Bitcoin price, which increased by 2.2% on the day of the transfer.
