Ethereum Foundation Sets New Gas Fee Cap Ahead of Fusaka Hard Fork

The Ethereum Foundation has made a significant announcement regarding the upcoming Fusaka hard fork, as revealed on their official blog. They’ve introduced EIP-7825, which sets a gas fee cap for each transaction at 2 to the power of 24, roughly equivalent to 16.78 million gas units. This new cap has already been implemented on the Holesky and Sepolia test networks and will go live during the Fusaka hard fork on the mainnet. Users who rely on large transactions should check that their contracts and transaction-building tools comply with these new requirements.
