On October 19th, Bitcoin witnessed a significant price difference compared to global exchanges in the South Korean market. As of 12:00 AM KST, Bitcoin traded at approximately 163.59 million KRW on Upbit, registering a marginal decline of 0.03% from the previous day. Meanwhile, on Binance, BTC’s price stood at 152.25 million KRW, resulting in a gap of 11.34 million KRW and an impressive Kimchi premium of 7.45%. Similar to Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH) exhibited a 7.46% Kimchi premium. Other leading altcoins also saw similar premiums: Solana (SOL) at 7.40%, XRP (XRP) at 7.51%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 7.45%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 7.22%. Most top altcoins currently carry a premium in the range of 7.2% to 7.5%.
