Gespa Accuses FIFA of Unlicensed Gambling in World Cup Token Program

The Swiss gambling authority, Gespa, has filed a formal criminal complaint against FIFA for its blockchain-based ticketing platform, FIFA Collect, which utilizes non-fungible tokens (NFTs) linked to the 2026 World Cup. Gespa contends that this platform offers unlicensed gambling services, labeling them illegal under Swiss law.
