Ethereum Attracts Most New Blockchain Developers in 2025

Data from Electric Capital reveals that Ethereum experienced significant growth in its developer community, with over 16,000 new developers joining the ecosystem between January and September of this year. This makes Ethereum the largest blockchain project for active developers globally, boasting a total of 31,869 developers. While Solana’s developer community has seen a surge as well, with over 11,500 new additions, a representative from the Solana Foundation cautioned that these figures might be outdated. Solana currently has 17,708 active developers. Bitcoin also saw notable growth, adding nearly 7,500 new developers to its ranks, bringing its total to 11,036. This trend highlights the continued interest and expansion of blockchain development across various platforms.
