Bitcoin Sees 8.25% Premium in South Korean Market on October 18

On October 18th, Bitcoin traded at approximately 161.72 million KRW on Upbit exchange in South Korea, a decrease of 2.16% compared to the previous day. This resulted in a Kimchi Premium of 8.25%. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 149.40 million KRW, leading to a price gap of 12.32 million KRW. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) also exhibited an 8.25% Kimchi Premium. Other major altcoins saw similar levels: Solana (SOL) at 8.30%, XRP (XRP) at 8.04%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 8.31%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 8.69%. This trend reflects a wider phenomenon, with most top altcoins currently trading with premiums of around 8.2% to 8.6%.
