RBI Advocates for CBDCs Over Stablecoins for Global Payments

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) urges global central banks to embrace Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) over stablecoins for international payments. This follows RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra’s plea during the World Bank and IMF annual meeting in Washington D.C., where he highlighted CBDC’s advantages for cross-border transactions.
