The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company have revealed the participants for the second phase of the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenA.I.) Sandbox, which involves over 60 proposals from banks and technology partners. Twenty-seven use cases from 20 financial institutions and fourteen technology companies have been selected to take part in this phase focused on advancing AI governance through ‘AI against AI’ strategies. For example, these use cases utilize AI to enhance the accuracy and consistency of AI-generated content by automating quality checks. Participants will begin accessing the dedicated platform at the Cyberport AI Supercomputing Center later this year with technical testing expected to commence in early 2026.
