Ripple and Immunefi Launch $200K Attackathon to Strengthen XRPL Lending Protocol Security

To ensure the security of its new XRPL lending protocol before validator voting, Ripple and blockchain security platform Immunefi have launched a $200,000 “Attackathon.” This initiative challenges global security researchers to identify vulnerabilities in the proposed XRPL Lending Protocol. 2-week training will precede active testing from October 27 to November 29. Researchers compete for up to $200,000 in rewards by discovering valid security flaws, with a fallback pool of $30,000 available if no critical bugs are discovered. This collaboration represents a significant step forward for Ripple’s institutional DeFi roadmap. The XRPL Lending Protocol introduces pooled lending and underwritten credit directly on the ledger. It focuses on automating the entire lending process and connecting borrowers worldwide to lenders, enhancing transparency and compliance.
