Bitcoin Surges in Korea with 6.35% Kimchi Premium on October 15

Bitcoin’s price in South Korea experienced a significant surge, displaying a 6.35% Kimchi Premium as of October 15th at 12:00 AM KST. On Upbit exchange, Bitcoin (BTC) traded at 169.68 million KRW, representing a 1.16% decrease from the previous day. However, on Binance, BTC stood at 159.56 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 10.12 million KRW and generating a Kimchi Premium of 6.35%. Ethereum (ETH) also saw a noteworthy rise, boasting a Kimchi Premium of 6.43%. Other prominent altcoins exhibited substantial premiums: Solana (SOL) at 6.43%, XRP (XRP) at 6.34%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 6.30%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 6.77%. Most of these top-ranked cryptocurrencies currently trade with premiums ranging from 6.3% to 6.7%.
