Hong Kong Unveils Fifth Batch of Key Enterprises, with Global Reach

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has announced the fifth batch of key enterprises, representing a significant step in attracting investment and fostering innovation. The list includes nearly 40% overseas companies, showcasing the region’s appeal to global players. Key sectors highlighted include artificial intelligence, bio-health, and cultural and creative technology. Notably, Polkadot’s blockchain protocol project plans to establish a presence in Hong Kong for research and business development activities. Over the past two years, this program has attracted 102 key enterprises, expected to generate approximately HK$60 billion in investments and create around 22,000 well-paying jobs.
