BlackRock’s Bitcoin Trust Surpasses Rivals to Become Most Profitable ETF

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has surged to the top spot as its most profitable exchange-traded fund (ETF), generating nearly $245 million in fees over the past year. This achievement marks a remarkable success for a product launched less than two years ago, surpassing longstanding giants such as the iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF (IWF) and the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA). Analyst Eric Balchunas reported on X that IBIT’s dominance began in mid-July and has held its position ever since. IBIT is currently on track to become one of the fastest ETFs to reach the $100 billion asset milestone, closing in on $97.8 billion in net assets, just shy of the landmark threshold.
