SEC Delays Crypto ETFs, Spurring More Applications Amidst Institutional Interest

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced new deadlines for decisions on several crypto-linked exchange-traded funds (ETFs), causing delays in applications and fueling growing institutional interest in the broader cryptocurrency market. Over 90 proposals remain under review, with major firms like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Bitwise awaiting SEC rulings on staking features in Ethereum ETFs. The SEC extended deadlines for Solana, XRP, and Ethereum staking ETFs until October and November respectively.
