Joseph Lubin, creator of Consensys and a key player in the Linea blockchain project, has hinted at potential future rewards for users who hold LINEA tokens. The founder acknowledged that long-term token holders could receive distributions, including tokens from Consensys and other aligned ecosystem projects. His statement follows the launch of the Linea (LINEA) token generation event (TGE) where 85% of tokens will be distributed to the ecosystem while the remaining 15% will go to the Consensys treasury. Lubin’s remarks came in response to community members expressing concerns about the utility of the LINEA token. Notably, some users were urging for features like staking and lending platforms, which could enable greater engagement with the Linea ecosystem. Meanwhile, others suggested a token buyback strategy as a more effective way to encourage long-term ownership.
