Latin American developers are increasingly focusing on utilizing established blockchain ecosystems like Ethereum and Polygon for their projects, opting to build within these networks instead of launching new ones. A report by Sherlock Communications reveals this trend through qualitative insights gathered from 85 developers across Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, and Peru. The study highlights that Latin American developers prioritize transparency, coordination, and compliance, seeking established systems with clear documentation, intuitive tools, and a history of success. Luiz Eduardo Abreu Hadad, blockchain consultant at Sherlock Communications, emphasized the region’s highly skilled developers who are keen on addressing real-world challenges. While capable of creating new platforms, he notes that current conditions place Latin America as a hub for development and adoption within these established networks.
