Fidelity Invests $200 Million in US Treasuries on Ethereum with New Tokenized Fund

Financial giant Fidelity has launched a groundbreaking tokenized version of its U.S. Treasury money-market fund on the Ethereum blockchain, enabling institutional investors to gain direct access to US securities. This innovative offering, dubbed the Fidelity Treasury Digital Fund (FYOXX), provides investors with digital representation of Treasury holdings via an ERC-20 token called Fidelity Digital Interest Token (FDIT). The fund is backed by 99.5% cash and U.S. Treasury securities, and operates under strict regulatory oversight from Bank of New York Mellon.
