Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, has restored full access to its app and website for users in India. This significant step comes after Bybit secured regulatory compliance in line with India’s Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and is a testament to their commitment to trust and security for Indian customers. The company’s renewed operations follow Bybit’s registration with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) in January 2025, allowing them to offer a comprehensive suite of services like Spot, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading to Indian users while adhering to KYC and security protocols. This move signifies a turning point for Bybit in India’s crypto market and is part of their broader expansion strategy.
Bybit has been actively engaging with authorities since February 25th, 2025, when authorized users were granted access to trading functionality. Full website and app functionality will be restored within the next three to four days, following extensive communication with regulatory bodies. Commenting on the announcement, Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, said: “India is among the most promising digital asset markets globally.
