Singapore Sees Drop in Fraud & Cybercrime: Half-Year Data Shows Decline

Singapore has reported a notable decrease in fraud and cybercrime during the first six months of 2025, according to data released by the Singapore Police Force. Total losses from scams amounted to approximately S$456 million, down about S$66 million from the previous year. The number of cases fell by 21.5% to 22,476, a significant decrease from last year’s 28,625 cases. Crypto-related scams made up nearly 18% of total losses, reaching S$81.6 million, with USDT, Bitcoin, and Ethereum being key targets. The Anti-Scam Command successfully recovered S$56.7 million in this period, including S$17 million in cryptocurrencies, and worked alongside partners to prevent an additional potential loss of S$179 million.
